An article in Lancet, the British Medical journal, questions whether the Sierra Leone government's containment policies will work
The article notes that with the objective of limiting the virus' spread, the Sierra Leone government ordered the nation's 6·2 million inhabitants to stay at home for three full days, from Sept 19 to 21.
The authors (listed above) questioned the long term efficiency. They said that altough containment would at first appear to be an easily enacted and economical strategy, its implementation has proven to be more complex, for several reasons. They include enforcement in a country with a weak infrastructure and, difficulties in communcation the reasons to remote rural populations;
